SWISYZINNA
In Dallas, Texas Swisyzinna attended Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. There she gained skills and experience in acting, musical theatre, costume design and dance. She attended Norfolk State University where she received a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications and Journalism with a minor in Theatre.
Performing has always been her passion, as Swisyzinna has performed in The Colored Museum, Black Broadway Rhythms, For Colored Girls, and the Wiz on stages around the world, including tours in Europe and North America.
Under the mentorship of Dr. Clarence W. Murray, Swisyzinna has also cultivated her love of directing. She has been the directing force behind several musicals and stage plays as well as entrusted with the leadership of a cast of teenagers responsible for breathing life into a number of black history plays.
Swisyzinna also directed the web-series Stepford Sidechix, challenging the actors to bring their best each week in the 8-episode series. Swisyzinna simply has a knack for creating quality projects. She also hosts and produces her own web series, Swisyzinna Says, giving advice to those who write into the show.
GERALD DEWEY
Model, actor, writer, producer and director, Gerald Dewey has the capacity to wear multiple hats and he can wear them well. As a teenager, he graced stages and magazine layouts in his hometown of Dallas, Texas. He has also received the “Top Dog” award for outstanding achievements in his modeling career.
Education was greatly encouraged by his mother and grandmother while Gerald’s passion for entertainment grew as he attended college at The University of North Texas. There he received a bachelor’s degree in Radio, Television, and Film along with an audio engineering certification from Media Tech Institute and a certification in Spanish language media sales from Media Sales Institute.
Since graduating, Gerald has produced True Real Talk on Fishbowl Radio Network while honing his skills as a radio host at KNTU 88.1. He also produces the hit web-series Swisyzinna Says and Stepford Sidechix.
